Sibylle
Ruppert's Art-Works are a meeting between, surrealism and
fantastic-realism.
Beside
her paintings "BLACK
LIGHT ON WHITE SHADOW" dedicated to Thomas
Bernhard,
her work includes pictures and drawings inspired by the
literature of Marquis
de Sade,
George Bataille, Antonin Artaud, Lautréamond,
and other reknowed authors.
Her
work has been exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam,
Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich, Giessen, Stuttgart, Zurich,
Basel, London and New York and appeared also in numerous
books and press articles.
Sibylle
Ruppert's "Dessins pour D.A.F. de Sade"
series has been discussed in various articles by Pierre
Restany,
Drs. Phillis and Eberhard Krohaussen, Prof. Dr Klaus
Laermann,
Roland
Villeneuve,
Prof. Gert
Schiff,
H.R.
Giger,
Bijan Aalam, and Eli Graf.
In
the portfolio which appeared on the occasion of Sibylle
Puppert's exhibition "Lautréamont",
